Loving this “WOODLAND FROST” arrangement by The Empty Vase. With an elegant selection of white roses, pine cones, ranunculus, phalaenopsis orchids, white snow branches, white berries, and pine branches gently dusted with faux snowflakes. It makes me feel like winter is finally here!  

Congratulations to my clients Lindsay and Matt for booking their wedding at The Fig House in Highland Park. This will be my first time working here and I am so excited! The outdoor space is a lush landscaped garden perfect for a ceremony and the indoor space combines mid century modern architecture with glamour. Looking forward to work with Allison and her team:-)

 

Lisa Kahn Events was honored to be with Joshua Friedman as he became a Bar Mitvzah, celebrating with his close family and friends. The beautiful service was orchestrated at Congregation Or Ami in Calabasas. Cantor Doug Colter and Rabbi Julie Weisz lead an inspiring and musical service as Joshua read his Torah portion with ease and humor.

 

After ceremony, it was time to celebrate at Wolfgang Puck’s  Annex at Hollywood & Highland which is one of my favorite locations!

Lights, Camera, Action – in all the fame and attention that a Leading Man would receive, Joshua arrived in a true A-lister greeted with his own personalized Step & Repeat.

My team at Lisa Kahn Events spared no creative expense when designing Joshua’s celebration. Form a custom logo, to high-end LED tables and centerpieces and white, sleek lounge furniture we created “Club Joshua”  pulling inspiration from the Annex’s modern loft look and the locations Hollywood feel.

 

 

One of my favorite details was the steel plated table number that was created by Speedpro imaging. It gave the tables that perfect edgy feel.

Then with DJ Danno on the turn tables, the music was flowing and kept the crowds on their feet. Even I couldn’t resist dancing!

But it was the headlining act that brought down the house and moved me to tears. Joshua took center stage and serenaded his guests with Blackbird from the Beatles making the evening even more special. Yes, I cried.

This night was definitely a true “Hollywood” event with Joshua as the star!

Lisa Kahn Events is very excited to have one of our own very chic, vineyard wedding featured on Ceremony Magazine Blog today!  We were honored to coordinate Melissa Bigelow and Gus Ruelas wedding at the beautiful Triunfo Creek Vineyards.  Nestled in the hills off of Kanan Road it has rolling hills covered with grapevines, a farm house (which worked perfectly for our after hour lounge area/candy bar) and a beautiful oak tree for a ceremony backdrop. I am so excited to share the amazing photos of Erica Siegal & Adam Schwartz’s wedding at The Four Seasons Westlake Village taken by Michael Brannigan of David Michael Photography. Erica and Adam, you are an amazing couple! I was honored to be part of your special. Your great personalities, sense of humor and love for each other made it a pleasure to work with. You balance each other and in the end I learned a little from you on how to make a relationship work.

A few of my favorite things were of course the breathtaking flowers created by Yvonne Van Pelt from The Empty Vase. The custom birch chuppah with succulents and garlands of orchids with touches of white phaelonopsis and purple vandas were absolutely stunning and the romantic lighting, tenting and chandeliers by PSAV made it the perfect place to say I Do!

The centerpieces were a combination of hight and low arrangements of hydrangeas, succulents, orchids with airy branches. I loved the unique touch of purple cabbage, creating the prefect blend of purple and green.

But my most favorite part was seeing a celebration filled with love and joy.

It was an amazing day to have a wedding last Sunday. Everything about this wedding was beautiful! The spectacular ocean view from the Bel-Air Bay Club. The breathtaking Bride (and Groom). The gorgeous flowers by Lotus & Lily Floral Design. The stunning 5 tiered cake by A Sweet Design.

Thank Jenna and Tyler for letting me be a part of this special time in your life. It was a pleasure creating your perfect wedding. But I can’t take all the credit. Your personal touches made this wedding uniquely yours. I was honored to be part of the experience and share it with your amazing family and friends.

I also want to thank the amazing vendors that helped make this so special. Rabbi Carr Rubin from Kehillat Israel for his touching ceremony, Arroyos Strings for their beautiful music, Mariah Nicole’s skillful makeup who made the girls looks so beautiful and the entire staff at Bel-Air Bay Club for all their hard work before, during and after the wedding. Peter Papadopoulos of Vive Entertainment who keep everyone dancing all night long and Stage Lab lighting who helped transform the room. And last but not least my amazing team of Lauren Ghangi and Michelle Gerrard, I could not have done it without you.
